BACA Meaningful Jewelry is a brand associated to ethical and fairtrade jewellery which integrates charity organisations into its supply chain.
Engaging the organisation in economic trade leads to: (1) a sustainable source of financial income, (2) provides the people involved with a meaningful work and (3) helps raise awareness about the activities that the organisation is invovled in.
As our first project, we have integrated an Asian charity called EDEN Ministry that fights sex trafficking. The victims, in this case only women, have entirely designed and produced our first two lines. The charity organization provides medical aid, shelter, education and alternative sources of income through engaging them in the art of jewellery making. We pay more for these products than we would if we bought them on the open markets from regular makers. However, we know that the price we pay, has a social impact and is therefore justified.

Let us shape the future of tomorrow together and make every possible effort to contribute to the advancement of civilization. How can we live in a world where modern day slavery counts more victims today than it has if we counted all the slaves in human history. How can we allow children being born in brothels, growing up and getting used to a reality which is full of crime, diseases, aggression and without hope!!!! Doesn't every child deserve a chance to use his/her skills? Use their intellect accordingly? Isn't every human a noble being?
